Water main flushing in Havre

To maintain the quality of Havre drinking water, Havre Public Works needs to periodically flush hydrants connected to the city water system.

Public Works has said personnel will be flushing this week through June, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Thursday each week.

Flushing begins on First Street, then Second Street and so on going west.

While Public Works is flushing the system in each neighborhood, residents may have low water pressure or discolored water. If the water is discolored, people may want to avoid washing clothes. When flushing is complete, people can run their cold water until it is clear.
