Grief Poem - Remembering

If we give up when snow is deep, we’ll miss rest of the year.

Can’t let the pains of one season steal memories that are dear.

Remembering you who’ve gone away, far off to silent land,

Somehow, some day we’ll understand, though we don’t clasp your hand.

You were my North, South, East and West, my noon, my talk, my song;

My working week, my Sunday rest; my Love you’re missed! You’re gone!

Recalling flowers at our feet and birds singing above;

Our prairie walks in the Springtime below God’s splendid love.

We play and smile and think of you, live life for all it’s...
