Fair board holding special meeting, voting on fair manager contract

The Great Northern Fair Board released an agenda today for a special meeting Thursday including voting on a fair manager contract.

The board has had four fairground managers in the past four years, and has been without a manager since spring of last year, when the Hill County Commission furloughed the manager while he board dealt with budget problems.

The manager later resigned the position.

The fair board ran last year’s fair using volunteers.

Thursday’s meeting starts at 5:30 p.m. in the Community Center at the Great Northern Fairgounds, the agenda said.
