Havre team participates in Global 6K for Water

Silas Thomas approaches the finish line of the Global 6K for Water in Havre May 4. Thomas was the first to cross the line in the 6 kilometer fundraiser race for water, which is still taking donations to help provide clean water to people in underdeveloped countries around the world.

World Vision's Global 6K for Water had over 50,000 participants worldwide, with the Havre team, Walk4Water, formed by April Taber, giving 23 people in the total walking or running May 4 on the Baltrusch Nature Trail to support the cause.

Though the event was not timed, Sylas Thomas was first to finish the 6K, Vanessa Janssen second and Sara Lippy third.

All participant registration fees and individual donations went directly to World Vision to provide underdeveloped countries with clean water. With the money raised so far, Havre's Walk4Water was able to provide 52 peopl...
