Havre Police Department

A caller on Seventh Avenue reported Thursday at 7:16 a.m. that a pedestrian crosswalk sign was down.

Two arrests were made after a caller at Havre Middle School asked to speak to an officer at 9:23 a.m. Thursday. The jail roster from this morning lists the two people as Anthony Lawson, arrested on a charge of partner or family member assault, second offense, and Clarissa Newfield, arrested on a charge of partner or family member assault. No bond was listed for either person.

Jeremy Davis Wing of Dodson, 40, was arrested on federal warrants Thursday at 1:14 p.m. at the police station

William Sonny Brisbo III of Havre, 54, was issued a summons on a charge of open container in the city, after a caller at a Second Street business reported a man was drinking outside the building Thursday at 5:16 p.m.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Dawn Marie Sangrey of Box Elder, 50, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant and a charge of driving without a driver's license, and Lisa Ann Stump of Box Elder, 48, was arrested on charges of trespass to property and open container in a vehicle on the highway and on a Justice or City court warrant, during a vehicle stop Thursday at 7:03 p.m. on U.S. Highway 2 West. The stop was related to a 6:57 p.m. report of someone trespassing at a U.S. Highway 2 West business.

A Second Avenue caller in Rudyard reported a scam Thursday at 9:07 p.m.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Thursday and one this morning.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held three medium-hair cats, one long-hair cat, one 10-week-old kitten and a medium-hair 9-month-old kitten all of unknown gender, three medium-hair male cats, one short-hair female cat and two medium-hair female cats.

The Havre shelter also held this morning two female mixed-breed dogs, a female shepherd-Labrador retriever dog, a male shepherd dog and two male mixed-breed 23-week-old puppies.

Births

A boy was born Wednesday, May 15, 2019, to Katie and Tobias Waldner of Havre.
