Youth baseball, softball tournaments heating up

Havre Youth Baseball will be busy with city tournament in the next 10 days, and it all starts this weekend at Elk's Park.

The HYBA Minors Tournament starts Thursday and runs through Sunday's championship game, with all of the action taking place at Elk's.

The Minors are only the beginning for HYBA however, as the city will also conduct its Majors and Babe Ruth championships in the coming week as well.

The Majors will play their city tournament June 13-16 at Lions Field. That tournament will conclude with the Majors championship game next Sunday.

The Babe Ruth City Tournament will be held June 12-15 at Legion Field in Havre. The Babe Ruth tournament, which will hold its championship game on Saturday night, June 16, will also coincide with the 14U Montana State Tournament, which will also be held at Legion Field June 11-14.

The Havre Youth Softball Association will also be busy in June, and city tournaments are not far off.

The B-League Tournament will be held June 19, June 24, and the championships will be on June 26, while the A-League Tournament is scheduled for June 18, June 20, and the championships on June 25. All of the Havre Youth Softball Association action takes place at the Sixth Avenue Memorial Field.
