Mathis receives $1,000 scholarship from Masons

Havre High School Graduate Christian Mathis received a $1,000 Outstanding Scholastic and Service Scholarship from Havre Masonic Lodge No. 55.

Mathis intends to use the scholarship at University of the Incarnate Worde in San Antonio, where he plans to major in general engineering.

The Masons use criteria of student community involvement, activities in student sports organizations and school-related organizations or activities other than sports and academic honors and school related organizations or activities to assess what the student is giving back to the community and how the community is benefiting in awarding the scholarship.
