Baseball galore this week in Havre

It's certainly championship week in Havre when it comes to youth baseball.

On three different fields this week, three championships will be handed out on the diamond.

Monday, the Havre Youth Baseball Minors city tournament kicked off at Elk's Park and will run through Wednesday night's championship game. The tournament is a double-elimination format.

But that's only the beginning.

Starting Thursday, five teams will duke it out in the Majors City Tournament at Lions Field. Levis Heating, Northern Montana Hospital, Hocket Farms, Subway and Chinook will be playing for the HYBA Majors title. The tournament will continue Friday, as well as Saturday's semifinals. The championship is slated for 10 a.m. Sunday, and a second championship game will be played if necessary immediately after.
