Tester, Daines push for full, permanent funding of LWCF

Both of Montana’s U.S. senators pushed Tuesday for permanent funding of the Land and Water Conservation Fund.
Sen. Steve Daines, a member of the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources said during a committee hearing Tuesday that the fund has been critical to Montana.
“It’s absolutely remarkable, 70 percent of our fishing accesses have been funded by LWCF,” Daines said, adding that boarding flights to Bozeman on a weekend from any major airport, “There are as many fly rods getting on that plane as passengers.”
