Letter to the Editor - Thanks for helping Shriners help children

The North Central Montana Shrine Club would like to thank the public for buying the Vidalia onions to support our hospitals. We unloaded 6,000 pounds of onions and had them sold in nine days.

We buy the onions from Georgia, pay for the shipping and then sell them for $13 for a 10-pound bag.

The North Central Shrine Club takes in Turner, Harlem, Chinook, Havre, Big Sandy, Loma and the Hi-Line.

This year, we had outstanding support. Besides buying the onions, we had many people that gave us extra money. To be exact, people gave us $692 in extra cash.
