HRDC barbecue, rummage sale set today and Saturday

District 4 Human Resources Development council is inviting people to its headquarters at 2229 Fifth Ave. today and Saturday for food and a yard sale.

The event, running from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, features barbecued hot dogs and hamburgers at the feed and clothing, toys, furniture and more at the yard sale.

“All are welcome, rain or shine,” a poster for the event reads.

The food is free, but suggested free-will donations to help provide services to the clients of HRDC are listed. The suggested donations for the barbecue has a Little Tyke Meal at $2, with a hot, chips and a beverage; Mama Meal at $3 with a cheeseburger, chips and beverage and a Papa Meal for $4 with a double cheeseburger, chips and beverage.

People can add bacon with a suggested donation of $1.

The beverages are bottled water, pop or a juice pouch and condiments available are ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise.
