Obituary - Lyle Knudson

Lyle Knudson, 91, of Havre, passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2019, at his home surrounded by family.

Cremation has taken place and a private family celebration of Lyle's life will be held.

Memorials in Lyle's name may be made to Shriner's Hospital, the First Lutheran Church of Havre, or the charity of the donor's choice.

Holland and Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Lyle was born October 12, 1927, to Albert and Dorothy (Schafer) Knudson in Havre, MT. He attended country school and later Havre Public Schools. June 4, 1950, Lyle married Anna Marie Anderson and the couple had two children, Mike and Cheryl. Lyle was self-employed and owned the Pehlke/Knudson Conoco. He also farmed and ranched.

Lyle was involved in many organizations including the Havre Area Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Masonic Lodge Order #55, First Lutheran Church, The Fraternal Order of Eagles and The Elks Lodge. He enjoyed fishing and spending time caring for his yard and gardening.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Lloyd, Stanley and Glenn; and sisters Doral Andrew and Violet Swick.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Anna of Havre; children, Cheryl (Jim) Kuka and Michael (Cindy) all of Havre; grandchildren, Jared Kuka of Glasgow, Kirsten (Adam) Hawkaluk of St. Ignatius and Kaylee (Jeremy) Woodwick of Havre; nine great-grandchildren, and siblings Gladys Rhode of Bismarck, ND, and David of Havre.
