Obituary - Stuart Ray Brandon

This obituary is the follow up for the brief statement of Stuart Brandon's death in June.

Stuart Ray Brandon was born in Havre, MT, on March 11, 1962, and passed away of natural causes on June 10, 2019. He was the second of five children born to Jack and Dolores Brandon, while his father was attending Northern Montana College, now Montana State University-Northern, and his mother Dolores was working as a telephone operator supervisor. He was a bright and lively child, a good athlete and always excelled in any athletic endeavor he attempted. He could wheelie his bike a full block and once delivered a large Frog Eyed Salad to the Block Party at the other end of the block while riding his unicycle. He played basketball in junior high school and softball later in life.

While in high school, Stuart worked for Nalivka's Pizza. While there, he became very fond of the Nalivka family, a respect and admiration that endured his entire life. After high school, he worked for Gene Ruhkamp at Vita Rich Dairy. When the dairy closed, he spent time living in Denver, then Billings, where he attended and graduated from the May School of Broadcasting. He began his career in broadcasting working for KFBB Television in Great Falls. He started in the tech division, operating the equipment in the switching room. He was later moved into the production division and was listed on the credits with the team that televised the first live baseball game in Great Falls. He also worked for KTGF Television.

Following this time in Great Falls, Stuart spent time working in California and in Portland, Oregon. After a medical problem affected his work, he returned to Havre to convalesce, and remained here. There were few people that knew Stuart that didn't call him a friend. Regardless of the task, he was always willing to lend a hand. Shingling, siding, shoveling walks, among many other things, were tasks that he was always there for. His family and friends loved him and he left a big void in our lives when he left us, but he will always be in our hearts.

Stuart is survived by his parents, Jack and Dolores Brandon; sisters Pamela (Richard) Talbot, Jenny (Shawn) Friede of Havre, and brothers Randall (Rondalene) Brandon of Logendale, NV, Jon (Rachel) Brandon of Tacoma, WA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
