Havre Police Department

A Second Street caller reported Monday at 9:03 a.m. that someone had thrown fireworks into a Volkswagen, causing damage.

Monday at 12:09 p.m. a caller on Jefferson Avenue reported someone stole a check from her vehicle and wrote it for $50.

Havre Animal Shelter personnel reported Monday at 1 p.m. that someone abandoned a kitten outside the shelter.

--

Someone stopped at the police station Monday at 1:45 p.m. to speak with an officer about sprinkler heads being broken.

--

A summons was issued after a caller reported Monday at 2:35 p.m. that a dog was running loose on Washington Avenue. No details were provided on the charges.

Officers assisted a Havre Fire Department ambulance crew after a caller on Washington Avenue reported a non-English-speaking woman with injuries to her face Monday at 3:11 p.m.

A summons was issued after a 17th Street caller reported at 5:24 p.m. Monday that a neighbor's pit bull was in her yard and wouldn't let her outside. No details were provided on the charges.

Lawrence Eugene Normandy of Havre, 51, was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge after a Second Street caller reported an intoxicated man at 9:35 p.m. Monday.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Shaun Lesly Williams of Great Falls, 40 was arrested on a state District Court warrant Monday at 1:38 p.m. at Hill County Detention Center.

Lowell Walter Johnson of Gildford, 71, was arrested on charges of criminal endangerment, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief, after receiving a complaint from a caller on Gildford Road South Monday at 6:27 p.m.

Emergency medical personnel responded to 13 calls Monday.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held two long-hair 21-week-old kitten, one medium-haired 15-week-old kitten and three medium hair male 2-week-old kittens, all of unknown gender, one medium-hair male 22-week-old kitten, one male medium-hair 18-week-old kitten, two long-hair female cats, one short-hair female cat and one long-hair male 21-week-old kitten.

The shelter also held this morning a male shepherd dog, a female border collie 7-month-old puppy, a male mixed-breed 11-month-old puppy and a male German shepherd dog. The shelter was also housing two female and one male mixed breed 4-week-old puppies.

Births

A boy was born Sunday, Aug. 4, 2019, to Alexa and John Christian of Havre.
