Obituary - Arlene Arkinson, Kah-ki - Kwah - ne – pi-t, Woman Who Kneels

Arlene Arkinson, Kah-ki - Kwah - ne – pi-t, Woman Who Kneels, 60, passed away at Benefis Medical Center in Great Falls, MT, Sunday, August 4, 2019. 

Wake services began at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 5, 2019, and continued until her funeral service, which was at 11:00 a.m. today, August 6, 2019, all at the Arkinson residence on Parker School.  Burial followed in the Warriors Burial Grounds Cemetery.  

Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Arlene was born in Havre, MT, August 15, 1958, to Tom and Maggie (Coffee) Arkinson.  She was raised in Rocky Boy and attended elementary school there. She then went on to attend Havre High School. In 1977, Arlene met Dan Booker in Great Falls. They had four beautiful children together. She worked as a cook in Rocky Boy and Great Falls and as a CNA in Great Falls. She was forced to retire due to medical issues, and her focus became more on her kids and grandkids. 

Arlene enjoyed cooking, beading, bingo, machines, dice, and fishing. She was also an active member of the Native American Church. Arlene always had a home full of family, friends, and food. She always offered her home to be open to her family and friends because she was such a sweet, kind, and giving person. Family was her life work.  

Arlene is survived by her life partner, Dan Booker of Great Falls; daughters Michelle Small of Great Falls, April Booker of Idaho Falls, ID, Nicole Booker of Great Falls, Rochelle Booker of Havre; 22 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brother, Earl (Elane) Arkinson of Rocky Boy; sister, Pearl Whitford; and many nieces and nephews. 

Arlene is preceded by her son, Dean Ray Small; daughter Tiffany Booker; grandson Jameer Small, and parents, Tom and Maggie (Coffee) Arkinsion.
