Peyton Brown sets the tone for Blue Pony spikers

Havre High senior Peyton Brown is ready for her last year as a Blue Pony. Whether behind the volleyball net or on the softball diamond, Brown looks to give it her all in everything she does.

Brown has a passion for her sports. On the diamond in the spring, she brings the heat and plays with a fire in her eyes, showcasing her skills in Havre High softball.

But in the fall, she stands out on the volleyball court, setting the Blue Ponies up for success.

When it came to volleyball, Brown showed interest in the sport in eighth grade. The more she was on the court, the faster it grew on her. And Brown has taken a great fondness to it since.

Brown's commitment and love for volleyball are clearly seen on the court. Being the varsity squad's starting setter this season is something keeping her and the team motivated. Brown enjoys the game and the people she plays it with, no doubt proud she's made it far in the sport.

With games against Great Falls and Browning getting closer, Brown is excited to get on the court and give 100 percent to her coaches and her Blue Pony teammates.

The Blue Pony spikers are hunting for many wins this season, as well as to have some fun doing it. With Brown beside them, the Ponies are looking to be quite the force this season.

But, before Havre heads out for their games in week two of the young season, the Havre Daily News caught up with the two-sport standout for five questions.

Brown: "It looked fun and I wanted try something new, so, I went for it and I've loved it ever since then."

HDN: What are your hobbies outside of volleyball/softball?

HDN: What are your goals for the season?

HDN: What's your favorite thing about the game of volleyball?

Brown: "I get to play with all my friends, so I really love that about it. But, other than that, it's just a really fun sport overall."
