Hi-Line Athletes of the Week

Delaney Kellam, Chinook Volleyball

It was a big weekend of volleyball for the Chinook Sugarbeeters, and Delaney Kellam was a big part of it all. Kellam had nine kills and three blocks in Chinook's win over Malta last Tuesday night, and she was just as sharp two nights later when the Sugarbeeters swept the Box Elder Bears in a District 6C East match. Kellam, a two-year starter for Chinook, leads the Beeters in kills so far this season. Kellam and the Beeters are also in first place in the 6C East.

Kade Strutz, Big Sandy Football

The Big Sandy Pioneers have been dominant during the first month of the 2019 Six-Man football season. And with Kade Strutz running wild for the Pioneers, it's looked awfully easy. Strutz rushed for over 200 yards and four touchdowns in last week's 51-6 win at White Sulphur Springs. He scored on runs of 21, 4, 22 and 8 years and also scored five two-point conversions. Strutz, a two-way All-State performer last season, is averaging nearly 160 yards per game for the unbeaten Pioneers.
