Snow was blanketing the town early this afternoon, with most of the snowfall already melted but more continuing to fall. With more snow expected and cold temperatures predicted through at least Monday, the Havre Daily News is giving its carriers the day off and will not publish that day. It is expected to publish as normal Tuesday.

With wet, heavy snow continuing to fall Sunday, The Havre Daily News has decided not to publish Monday, Sept. 30.
Havre Daily News publisher Stacy Mantle said that with dangerous road conditions, temperatures expected to drop below freezing and snow expected to continue into Monday, she does not want to put the driving and foot-route carriers in danger delivering papers Monday.
The Havre Daily expects to publish as normal Tuesday.
