Havre Police Department

Three callers at a Montana State University-Northern residence hall requested Monday at 6 p.m. extra patrols of the area.

Steven Lee Strike of Havre, 31, was arrested on a state District Court warrant and a charge of obstructing a peace officer or other public servant, when officers served the warrant Monday at 10:08 p.m. at Sixth Street and Third Avenue.

A 13-year-old, a 14-year-old and 16-year-old were each issued a summons on a juvenile curfew violations charge after a Second Street caller reported a curfew violation at 10:16 p.m. Monday.

Darren Wayne Keith of Havre, 33, was arrested on a Justice or City court warrant served in an alley off Second Street at 1:02 a.m. today.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

The dispatch log from the sheriff's office showed no arrests or investigations from Monday morning to this morning.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to two calls Monday and three this morning.

Firefighters responded to a fire alarm on the 100 Block of Cowan Drive that turned out to be a smoke alarm malfunction.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held four 11-week-old kittens of unknown gender, a female short-hair cat, two male and two female medium-hair cats, a female calico cat and a female long-hair 13-week-old kitten.

The shelter also held this morning one male and one female shepherd dogs, a male mix-breed 14-week-old puppy, a male Akbash dog, a female Labrador retriever dog, a male mix-breed Bernese mountain dog, a female mix-breed 13-week-old puppy and two male mix-breed dogs. The shelter also was housing one 10-week-old female mixed-breed puppy.

Births

A boy was born Sunday, Oct. 20, 2019, to Jen and Josh Granell of Havre.
