Pizza Hut fundraiser set for Keeling

A Pizza Hut fundraiser is being held for former Havreite Jaden Keeling Thursday to help with expenses of his dealing with brain cancer.

Ashlee Keeling, his sister, said Jaden, who turned 17 today, recently was diagnosed with the cancer and after performing one surgery, his doctors are determining the best way to treat the tumor.

She said Jaden, who went to school in Havre until he moved to Malta with his mother, recently started having headaches.

A Havre eye doctor determined he had a tumor.

Jaden went to Denver, where doctors performed a surgery to obtain some of the tumor for a biopsy and to restore proper flow of spinal and cerebral fluids obstructed by the tumor.

Ashlee Keeling said her brother is doing well and no longer has the headaches, but the family is now waiting to see what his treatments will require.

To help pay for the expenses, any time a customer paying for a dine-in, carry-out or delivery pizza at Havre's Pizza Hut Thursday mentions the Jaden Keeling fundraiser, 20 percent of the purchase price will go to his account.
