Medical benefit for 10-year-old set for Sunday

“Let’s Help Caylee,” a medical benefit for Havreite Caylee Morsette, is scheduled for Sunday at 4 p.m. at Havre Eagles Club.

Caylee Morsette is a 10-year-old girl who has been ill since birth and has had to have one of her lungs removed. In her past 10 years she has had to overcome many health and respiratory complications. Her mother, Janet Morsette, is her caretaker and is unable to work.

The fundraiser is open to the community with an Indian taco sale and a silent auction.

Indian tacos will be available for dine-in at $8 with also a delivery option for $10.

People who are interested in the delivery option can call Janet Morsette at 301-0534.

People who would like to donate to Caylee’s benefit or bring in a silent auction item can contact Havre Eagles Club Auxiliary President Candace Dess at 262-0498 or Janet Morsette.

“My goal is just to be able to help Caylee anyway we can,” Dess said.”I want people to come out and enjoy a good meal while helping a family that is going through hardship due to medical challenges. I know we’ve all been there, and I feel now we have a chance to help.”

The money raised at the benefit will go toward travel expenses for any upcoming medical appointments and surgeries.

“Please join us and show your support,” Dess said.
