Invitation to mingle with the Addams Family Friday

People have a chance to support Havre High School's drama program while mingling with the people putting on its next production during "The Addams Family" Moonlight Mingle Friday at 7 p.m. in the Havre High School auditorium.

"The Moonlight Mingle is a unique fundraiser for the Havre High School theater," organizer Shannon Lines said. "It's a fun way for Havre to get up close and personal with the cast and crew and see what being on stage is all about."

The Moonlight Mingle is a fundraising event that includes dinner with "The Addams Family" cast and crew, a dessert and pie auction and photo opportunities and prizes.

People will have the opportunity to view different desserts and pies donated by local businesses, bakers and even some by the students themselves.

"A cozy autumn dinner" will be provided along with dessert and drinks, Lines said, adding that people will also be able to leave with "delectable desserts and maybe a couple of prizes."

Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased at Gary & Leo's Fresh Foods customer service counter.

The Moonlight Mingle tickets do not include show tickets to "The Addams Family," directed by Angela Pratt, which premieres Friday, Nov. 22.

The Moonlight Mingle should be a fun time, Lines said.

"What could be more fun with Thanksgiving right around the corner, than dining with the kookiest family around," she said.

She added that inviting the community allows the students to promote and share their craft on a new level.

"This kind of event allows attendees to see what it takes to create productions of this caliber and catch the details from mysterious family portraits to realistic paper mache trees and real curved staircases," she said. "It's quite impressive."

Last spring was the first year of trying something like this mingle with the Mermaid Mingle before Havre High's production of "The Little Mermaid."

"It was a ton of fun for families and it was a great success," Lines said.  "We had rave reviews from 'Little Mermaid' guests and their parents and it gives the students another opportunity to connect with audience members in a personal way."
