Snow leads to crashes in Havre, more winter on the way

A City of Havre police car patrols Highway 2 during a snowstorm in Havre Tuesday night. Snow is expected to continue to fall through Saturday.

A snowstorm hit Havre Tuesday, leading to multiple crashes in the area and Havre police requesting people to stay of the streets if possible.

Snow started falling mid-afternoon and fell heavily at times through the evening.

After several crashes occurred on Hospital Hill, 13th Street from Fifth Avenue to Highland Park and Northern Montana Hospital, that route was closed and remained closed this morning.

The snow had stopped as of this morning, but more is in the forecast through the weekend.
