Obituary - Andrew Medicine Horse Sr.

Andrew Medicine Horse Sr., 59, passed away surrounded by loved ones due to natural causes in Salt Lake City, UT, Friday, November 22, 2019.

Wake services began at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 29, 2019, and continued until his funeral at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2019, all at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Burial followed in the Rocky Boy Cemetery.

Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.

Andrew was born in Crow December 27, 1959, to Willis and Bethanna (Greybull) Medicine Horse. He went to school in Big Horn County and graduated from high school in Flandreau, South Dakota. Andrew attended Stone Child College from where he graduated with an associate degree.

November 8, 1993, he married Odessa Stump.

Andrew liked hunting, camping, firefighting, fishing, and collecting antique coins and knives. He enjoyed hiking and was basically an outdoors man. His favorite pastime was to watch shows on the Discovery Channel such as "Alaska: The Last Frontier" and anything pertaining to survival. He smoked like a chimney and enjoyed his cigarettes.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis and Bethanna (Greybull) Medicine Horse.

Andrew is survived by his wife, Odessa (Stump) Medicine Horse of Great Falls; son, Andrew (Lauren) Jr. of CO; daughters, Indian, Shayla and Kristien, all of Great Falls; stepchildren, Jasmine, Lila, and Santana Stump, all of Great Falls; sisters, Cornelia (Larry), Abigail (Vincent), Victoria, Wyla, Karen, and Jolene; brothers, Albert (Jenny), Willis, and Rowland; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.

He is descended from the High Hawk, Plenty Coups, and His Best Plate families: Julia Medicine Horse, Willis and Bethanna (Greybull) Medicine Horse, Jr., Willis and Rose (Lincon) Medicine Horse Sr., Peter and Mary Greybull, Sr., Desirae Old Horn – Little Nest, and Threasa Ledezma.
