Saturday, Dec. 7

Hay Rides at the Library, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., Havre-Hill County Library, with fun holiday activities and treats while people wait. Free and open to the public. For reservations call 265-2123.

Christmas Stroll by the Chamber Events Committee, all day, downtown Havre, with a coloring contest at the Atrium, all day; Christmas Carolers, 1- 4 p.m .; gift wrapping at the Atrium by Chamber Ambassadors; special appearance of Olaf, Anna and Elsa.

Holiday Village Mall Winterfest Craft Show, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Mall.

Clack Museum Dinosaur Christmas, 1 - 3 p.m., Holiday Village Mall.

Holiday Spirit Stroll, 1 p.m., Havre Beneath the Streets.

Living Nativity, 5 p.m., Van Orsdel United Methodist Church.

Big Sandy Grinchmas, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m., Big Sandy, with Breakfast with Santa, 8:30 - 10 a.m., The Mint; Spaghetti Dinner, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m., Senior Center; Christmas Cocktail Throw Down, 2 - 5 p.m., The Mint and Diamond 4U Club; Parade of Lights, 5:30 p.m., Main Street; and Costume Contest, 6 p.m., Big Sandy City Hall.

St. Jude Thaddeus Christmas Bazaar, 10:30 a.m. - 2 p.m., and lunch from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., St. Jude Parish Center. The bazaar will have cookies, lefse, candies, crafts, jewelry and Santa's Attic items. The lunch is $10 per person of almond chicken casserole, sides, dessert and coffee.

Soup-N-Bread lunch, noon, Eagles Club with all-you-can-eat of a variety of soups and breads, $5. Proceeds to go to Eagle Riders Club charities.

Monday, Dec. 9

The North Central Hangar of the Montana Pilots Association monthly meeting, 7:30 p.m., terminal, Havre City-County Airport.

“Mamma Mia!” auditions, with Montana Actors' Theatre, 6 p.m., MSU-Northern Little Theatre, with rolls for women and men 20-50 years of age. Prospective actors must come prepared to sing a piece from the show, learn and perform a dance, and read from the script. No acting experience necessary.

Public ice skating, 5:45 - 7 p.m., Havre Ice Dome, 2585 5th Ave. Skate rental and concessions available.

Books and Babies, 10:15 a.m., Havre-Hill County Library. Free and public is welcome.

Hi-Line Littles Pizza Hut fundraiser, all day, Havre restaurant. Mention Hi-Line Littles and 20% of carryout or dine-in purchases go toward funding a childrens museum for Havre.

2019 Cowboy Christmas with MSU-Northern Rodeo Team and Booster Club, 5 p.m. no-host cocktails, 6 p.m. prime rib and shrimp dinner, Armory Gymnasium at Northern. The event will include a live auction and dancing to music by Plowed Under Band. Cost is $40 per single ticket, $300 per table of six and $400 per table of eight.

Art in the Park: Holiday Edition, 2 - 4 p.m., Community Church of Gildford, 310 6th St., decorating sugar cookies and making snowman ornaments. This family friendly event is open to everyone, and free-will donations will go toward funding the summer art program at Gildford Park.

Don't you have the Bullnanzacoming to your area soon? Sure can't find any info. on it and Havre/Hill County has a lot of cowboys.

I would LOVE to see our community list more events in this section. So many times you hear from a friend that went to some event or fundraiser that you didn't even hear about. Would love to see any little thing going on in Havre to be posted here.

HPS Education Foundation hosting the annual HOLIDAY HOOPS Blue Pony alumni basketball games on Friday December 27th at the Havre Middle School. First game at 6:30pm. Players contact Tony at 390-6178 or Grayson at Master Sports. Fun for the whole family!
