Snow should be sticking around through Christmas

It looks like winter is here to stay in north-central Montana at least for the next few weeks. This is after two months of storms dumping several inches of snow that then melted off with warmer weather in a week or two.

Snow over the last few days has put several inches on the ground in Havre, and the forecast calls for below freezing temperatures for the next week or more with slight chances of more snow falling.

The National Weather Service forecast calls for a high Thursday of 40 degrees, but the highs the rest of the week are predicted to be in the 20s with lows in the teens and 20s....
