Hill County Community Foundation awards grants

The 2019 Grant Award Ceremony was held in the Havre Historic Post Office. The Hill County Community Foundation donates funds to groups around the county who apply and are chosen for a grant.

Hill County Community Foundation awarded six grants Thursday to nonprofit organizations for the 2019 grant cycle.

The grant recipients were CASA of Hill County, the Havre Main Street Group, Stone Child College, North Star Hingham Pool, Shakespeare in the Parks and the Van Orsdel SOS Committee.

Foundation Chair Pam Veis said each grantee was awarded for their respective projects in one of three HCCF focus areas: basic human needs, arts and culture and community beautification.

Veis said the foundation was established in 1995 with a challenge grant from Anheuser-Busch to local Distributors...
