Havre Middle School lists students of the month for December

Havre Middle School's sixth grade Student of the Month for December is Tyson Brandon.

Tyson is the son of Kelly and Cindy Brandon. He has a twin sister, Macy Brandon.

Tyson sings in the HMS choir and runs on the cross country team. Outside of school he participates on the traveling basketball team and All-Star Team. He also likes to fish, camp and spend time with family and friends.

At school, Tyson is an attentive student who is always ready to learn. His teachers comment on how kind, polite and respectful he is to everyone. He takes pride in his work which leads to his high academic achievement. His ethics demonstrate what "Pony Pride" is at the Havre Middle School.

In the future Tyson plans to attend college and someday run the family's business.

December's seventh-grade Student of the Month at HMS is Ben Brown.

Ben's parents are Dave and Jami Brown. He has four siblings, Tommy, Annabelle, Lucy and Sam Brown.

Ben plays the trumpet in the schools jazz and pep band. He is also involved with his churches youth group, swim club and is learning to play piano. In his spare time Ben loves to bake, mow lawns, camp and go on road trips with family.

At the middle school, Ben is a very self-motivated student with a positive attitude. He sets high standards for other students to follow. His actions demonstrate the HMS Code of Character with dignity and respect in all he does.

Ben's future goal is to continue his education and attend college.

McKina Olson is HMS's eight-grade Student of the Month for December.

McKina is the daughter of McKay and Temina Olson. She three siblings, Garion, McKeon and Gavin Olson.

McKina participates in the Havre Middle Schools band and choir. She also sings in Spot Lighters and is a member of the National Junior Honor Society. Outside of school McKina is involved in soccer, fast pitch, church activities and is the Vice President of the Torch Club. She loves spending time with her family and watching movies.

At HMS, McKina's teachers comment on her positive attitude and her cheerfulness around others. She has a tremendous work ethic and the willingness to go above and beyond expectations. Her compassion towards others makes her a role model to all students at Havre Middle School.

McKina's strives to maintain a high GPA and then would like to pursue a college degree.
