Havre Police Department

Wednesday at 12:12 p.m. a caller at a First Street West business reported a theft.

An arrest was made after a Second Street caller reported a protection order violation at 4:31 p.m. Wednesday. No details on the charges was provided.

A two-vehicle, non-injury crash was reported on Second Street Wednesday at 5:21 p.m.

Desarae Rose Matte of Havre, 29, was issued a summons on a charge of violation of protective order, after a Second Street caller asked to speak with an officer Wednesday at 10:08 p.m.

Gabriel Roy Cheatam of Havre, 48, was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended or revoked driver's license, failing to carry proof of vehicle insurance, possession of dangerous drugs, violation of child restraint, possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation, during a vehicle stop on First Street at 10:45 p.m. Wednesday.

Hill County Sheriff's Office

Candace Leah Morsette of Box Elder, 34, was issued a summons on a charge of theft by shoplifting, after a caller at a U.S. Highway 2 West business reported a shoplifter Wednesday at 2:12 p.m.

An arrest was made, after Montana Highway Patrol asked Wednesday at 10:52 p.m. for assistance with a driver suspected driving under the influence. No further details on the charges were provided.

Patrick Dakota Steckel of Havre, 25, was arrested on an aggravated DUI during vehicle stop today at 1:54 a.m. on First Street.

Havre Fire Department

Emergency medical personnel responded to three calls Wednesday.

Firefighters responded to a call at 7:23 a.m. this morning on the 900 Block of First Avenue. No one was available at the fire station to provide details.

Havre Animal Shelter

The Havre shelter this morning held five 16-week-old kittens and three cats of unknown gender, five female cats, two female 9-month-old kittens, one male cat and one male 6-month-old kitten.

The shelter also held this morning a male American bulldog, a male American Eskimo dog, a female Jack Russell terrier 6-month-old puppy, a female mix-breed dog, a female mix-breed 6-month-old puppy, two male mix-breed 7-month-old puppies and a female Labrador retriever dog.
