Kay was born October 22, 1933, in Hibbing, MN, to William and Edith (Sanger) Driscoll. She was raised in Hibbing, graduating from high school and Hibbing Community College-St. Mary's Hospital there with her degree in X-ray technology.

Kay met Russell Evans, and in 1957, the couple married in Havre, and had four children. Kay worked for a while as an x-ray technician, and then cared for her children as they were growing up.

In 1970, Kay and Russell started the Russell Evans for Men store, and Kay became the bookkeeper. In 1983, they sold the clothing store and purchased the Gallery Lounge with Kay continuing the bookkeeping duties for many years.

Russ passed away in 2018, and Kay continued to keep busy until her health sidelined her these past few months.

Kay was a true lady, with an unshakable faith that kept her strong through the toughest of life's storms. She loved to shop; and was always dressed "just so." But she was also a true partner to Russ, backing him in whatever he chose to do. She loved to cheer on her children, grandchildren, and then great-grandchildren at their sporting events, and have lunch and dinner with her friends. Playing cards was a favorite pastime. She was a member of a bridge club, and she loved to play 13 with her family and friends. Kay was a member of the St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church and the PEO Chapter V.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell J. Evans; son Scott Evans; granddaughter Shaina Evans; parents, William and Edith Driscoll; brother, William Driscoll Jr .; and sister Patricia Gasperini.

Kay is survived by her daughter, Kim (Cal) Wirtzberger of Havre; sons Russell (Lynnie) Evans Jr. of Kalispell and Gary (Linda) Evans of Columbia Falls; eight grandchildren, Dan (Katie) Wirtzberger, Patrick (Shantell) Wirtzberger, Dillon Evans, Josh Dusterhoff, Tyler (Morgan) Evans, Kelsey Grippentrog, Nikki (Peter Mosely) Evans, and Kallie Evans; great-grandchildren, Tripp, Blake, and Jett Wirtzberger, Brantley, Tenley and Presley Wirtzberger, Harrison and Brynlee Evans, Adelyn and Dean Evans, and Kaden Manley; sister Peggy Jones of Cleveland, OH, and many, many friends.
