Independence Bank Scholarship Deadline Approaching

The Independence Bank Scholarship application deadline is quickly approaching.

Applications for the scholarship must be received in the Montana State University-Northern Financial Aid Office by Feb. 7.

The Independence Bank Scholarship is open to incoming freshman students planning to attend Northern. To be eligible students must graduate from a high school in Hill, Blaine, Phillips, Valley, Roosevelt, Daniels, Sheridan, Liberty, Chouteau, Pondera, or Toole counties. Six $1000 scholarships are awarded each year.

Six area students were the recipients of the Indeped-dence Bank New Student Scholarship for the 2019-2020 academic year and are currently attending Montana State University-Northern.

Zach Brown graduated from Lustre Christian High School and is majoring in agricultural mechanics. His mother is Sarah Brown of Lustre.

Jarrett Green graduated from CJI High School and is pursuing a major in diesel technology. His parents are Shane and Kelly Green of Joplin.

Tristan Labatte graduated from Culbertson High School and is currently enrolled in automotive technology at Northern. His parents are Sabrina Labatte and Benjamin Smith, both of Culbertson.

Delleny Munson graduated from Havre High School and is majoring in business administration. Her parents are Frank and Jana Munson of Havre.

Connor Schnabel graduated from Fort Benton High School. He is pursuing degrees in Plumbing and Welding. His mother is Bridget Flanagan of Fort Benton.

Micah Tweten graduated from Glasgow High School and is in the pre-nursing program. Her parents are Paul and Tana Tweten of Glasgow.
