Body found on Milk River near Fort Belknap Agency

Fort Belknap officials reported finding a body Monday on the Milk River near Fort Belknap Agency. 

A public service announcement from the Fort Belknap Agency said multiple agencies responded and found a person lying on the ice near a dam near the agency. The body has been transported to Billings to the Montana State Crime Lab to determine a cause of death.

The incident is being investigated by the Fort Belknap Law Enforcement Services Criminal Investigation Unit and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
