Obituary - Sharon L. McLain

Sharon L. McLain, 65, passed away due to natural causes at the Northern Montana Care Center Saturday, January 25, 2020.

Private family graveside services will be held this week.

Sharon's family has suggested memorial donations be made in her name to the Havre Day Activity Center or to the charity of the donor's choice.

Sharon was born February 25, 1954, in Havre to William Francis and Thelma (Cole) McLain. She was raised in Havre, and spent a few years at Boulder Hospital before returning to Havre in 1973 to live in the group home.

She loved Baby Boy, her baby doll, watching "I Love Lucy" and "Lassie," being outdoors, and her "sister vacations." She enjoyed thumbing through magazines and books, and flowers. Sharon had a wonderful sense of humor, and possessed an upbeat personality, laughing often. She enjoyed swimming and riding bikes when she was younger, and she loved music and dancing. Attending church was very important to Sharon, and she was there whenever she was able.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Thelma McLain; brother-in-law Herb Hanson; sisters-in-law Mary and Luann McLain; and grandparents.

Sharon is survived by her sisters, Peggy Hanson of Havre, Janet (Tom) Lipp of Helena, Wanda (Bob) Letang of Bozeman, and Carol McLain of Billings; brothers, Mike (Paula), John (Judi), Bruce, Steve (Marilyn) and Tracy (Stephanie) McLain, all of Havre, and Jay (Kathy) McLain of Great Falls; numerous nieces and nephews, great-nieces and -nephews; and great-great-nieces and -nephews; and her special family at the group home.
