HELENA - The Montana Department of Livestock is issuing a public health alert because Bear Paw Meats, 760 Ninth St. East, Chinook, a state inspected establishment, produced and distributed an unknown quantity of roast beef that was not fully cooked but sold as a ready-to-eat product without further cooking instructions on the package.
The problem was discovered by a routine food safety assessment conducted by the Meat and Poultry Inspection Bureau of the Montana Department of Livestock.
