Letter to the Editor - Friends of Beaver Creek Park invite people to help help the park

Editor,

The Friends of Beaver Creek Park was organized in December 2011, to help support our beloved park in the Bear Paw Mountains. We strive to assist in off-setting costs associated with maintaining such a large, beautiful facility, and it is through volunteer efforts that we can support the recreational facilities available in and around the park. It is at this time that we look to you to join us in our efforts and invite you to attend our next meeting in April. Exact date and location to follow. For more information, please email [email protected] .

The organization has donated equipment for use in maintaining park facilities as well as a new stove for use in the Beaver Lodge, new windows for cabins and gravel for roads to access trails. The organization also partnered with the Hill County Conservation Corp to assist in printing costs of the Bear Paw Nature Trail Brochures which help hikers navigate the Trail. In 2015, the Friends released the Beaver Creek Park specialty license plate. All proceeds of the $30 donation associated with the plate is received by FBCP and invested back into the Park. Recently, beautiful, new fire rings were installed at various camping spots throughout the Park.

The organization is happy to provide a platform for the community to share in their love for Beaver Creek Park. We encourage you to join our mission of fostering recreation and preservation of the park for generations to come.
