Havre approved as Montana Main Street affiliate

Havre Mayor Tim Solomon announced during a City Council meeting Monday that Havre was approved to be an affiliate for the Montana Main Street program.

“It helps with some technical assistance as far as moving forward and there’s grant funding as far as doing the program,” he said. “One of the first ideas behind it is to make a plan, as far as to help us with the development planning and help finance that, hopefully is what we put in first.”

It puts everyone on the same track as far as what they want to see for the downtown, he added.

“It’s a great program for helping out,” Solomon said.
