William was born March 2, 1941, to Peter and Ruth Larsen in Grand Forks, North Dakota. He graduated high school and went on to get a certification as a baker. He worked for various bakeries in Havre for 20 years. His skill and artistry in baking and decorating cakes made him popular and he received many requests to custom-bake wedding cakes for marrying couples.

After 20 years of baking, William decided to hang up his apron and pursue delivering mail from town to town on the Hi-Line as a courier for the post office.

William was also an avid hunter. He chased deer and elk all around the Hi-Line and Montana.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Ruth (Stoller) Larsen.

He is survived by his brother, David Larsen of Havre; three sisters, Bonnie Jeska, Diana Sorenson, Betty Shimpa, and niece, Jamie Larsen.
