The Havre Northstars and Havre's Legion Field selected as the host of the Class A American Legion State Baseball Tournament this summer
Historic Legion Field in Havre sits in winter status on Thursday evening. But soon, the great baseball venue will come alive, and this summer, it will play host to the 2020 American Legion Class A State Tournament. As hosts, the Havre Northstars earn an automatic bid to state, which will take place July 25-29. The Northstars, of head coach Patch Wirtzberger, begin their season later this spring.
It will be some time before the Havre Northstars American Legion baseball team takes to the field, but the coming season will feature something exciting for the Northstars, and Havre baseball fans alike. When the season hits its last legs, the city of Havre will get to see something that has not happened in quite some time.
