Election administrator urges absentee ballots to reduce COVID-19 exposure

Hill County Election Administrator Susan Armstrong today recommended people vote by absentee ballot to reduce exposure to novel coronavirus 2019.

"The Federal Primary Election is June 2, 2020. With the outbreak of COVID-19, now a pandemic, the CDC is recommending election administrators encourage people to vote by a method other than a polling place, for Montana that means voting an absentee ballot. My duty as your election administrator is to provide every person the ability to become a registered voter and to ensure the voter has all options available to vote in an election. I am also responsible for the wellbeing of Hill County's dedicated election judges and I do not want to put them in jeopardy. So therefore, Hill County Election office is strongly suggesting to vote by Absentee Ballot for the 2020 June Federal Primary election or for all future elections.

"Please contact the Hill County Elections Office, 315 4th Street, Havre, MT or call 406-400-2412 to get detailed information on signing up for an Absentee Ballot. You may also email me at [email protected]."
