Park board applicants sought

The Hill County Commission is looking for people who are interested in serving on the Hill County Park Board.

The park board is charged with the responsibility for the oversight of several Hill County Parks, most notably Beaver Creek Park. Meetings are held the first non-holiday Monday of each month at 5:30 pm.

Park board member terms are for three years.

People must have resided in the county for the previous two years, be a registered voter and at least 18 years of age to be eligible.

People are asked to mail a letter with their contact information, why they are interested in serving, qualifications, background and experience to the Hill County Commissioners Office, 315 Fourth St, Havre, MT, 59501. Letters must be postmarked by April 28.

Phone interviews will be held between April 30 and May 6, with the appointment made May 7 or shortly after.
