NAIA adds women's flag football as a varsity sport starting in 2021
As construction continues on the new football stadium at Montana State University-Northern, it could also house a women's flag football team someday. The NAIA announced this week it's adding women's flag football to the list of varsity sports it offers.

On Monday, the NAIA announced it is making women's flag football an official varsity sport for the 2021 school year, with the first-ever NAIA women's flag football national championship set for 2022.
The NAIA is entering a two-year partnership the National Football League (NFL) and Reigning Champs Experiences (RCX).
With support from NFL FLAG and RCX, NAIA will work to develop league infrastructure and operations for the first women's flag football competition governed by a collegiate athletics association.
