Rocky Boy goes into Phase One of re-opening

The Chippewa Cree tribal council announced Friday that the tribe is implementing a Phase One re-opening plan, and Rocky Boy Health Center has entered Phase One plans for its services, as well.

The stay-at-home order will still be in effect until June 3 on Rocky Boy’s Indian Reservation, and the general curfew is still 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., but weekend curfew for adults is now midnight to 6 a.m. Friday, through Sunday, the announcement says.

The check points at reservation borders are still in effect at all times and temperatures of people passing through will be taken and recorded. Trips through the area are limited to one essential trip per day. More than one trip through the check points without a valid purpose can be denied, the announcement says, as can any non-resident access.

Tribal departments remain closed to public access except by appointment or by phone, the announcement says. And any gatherings should be held to 20 or fewer people, with all social distancing guidelines adhered to and preventative measures put in place beforehand.

Anyone taking non-essential travel out of state or to a COVID-19 hot-spot in or out of state with an area of five or more active cases has to quarantine for 14 days, the announcement says. And any non-resident coming to the reservation must quarantine for 14 days, as well.

Rocky Boy Health Center is taking patients by appointment only, the clinic’s announcement says. Patients are asked to wear a mask to their appointment and to use the entrance closest to the department from which they are seeking services.

The clinic can be reached at 395-4486 for appointments or questions and at 395-4843 for refills.

Rocky Boy Incident Command can be reached at 395-5705 or [email protected].
