Havre students receive multiple scholarships

Havre High School graduate Marcee Murphy waits in line Monday to receive her $1,500 Hal Gilmore Memorial scholarship during the Havre Public Schools Education Foundation Scholarship Awards in the parking lot of Havre High School.

Havre Public Schools Education Foundation presented scholarship awards to Havre High seniors Monday, and some of the recipients talked about how it made them feel.

Rhoda Peterson, who received three scholarships, said she appreciates the awards.

"It feels great," she said. 

She said her plan after graduation is to attend Paul Smith College in New York to study ecological restoration.

She will be playing hockey and soccer up there too, she added.
