Bullock appoints Streit, Vincent

Gov. Steve Bullock announced Friday that his appointments included Jill Streit of Chester to the Montana Pulse Crop Committee and Clay Vincent of Havre to the Board of Sanitarians along with the following appointments.

Streit, co-owner of Stricks Ag, is appointed as a member from a western district.

Others announced Friday as members of the Montana Pulse Crop Committee are:

• Sreekala Bajwa, Ph.D., Bozeman. Qualification: Dean of Agriculture of Montana State University-Bozeman, ex-officio. Dr. Bajwa is the VP of Agriculture at MSU.

• Paul Kanning, Flaxville. Qualification: Member from an eastern district. Kanning is a Pulse Producer in Daniels County.

Vincent, semi-retired as a sanitarian for Hill County while working for Havre Public Schools, was appointed as a registered sanitarian.

Other Board of Sanitarians appointees announced Friday are: 

• Tracy Nielsen, Billings. Qualification: Member from the public who is not a sanitarian, who represents the interest of the public at-large. Nielsen is retired after working in a variety of roles including retail and school administration.

• Eugene Pizzini, East Helena. Qualification: Member from the public who is not a sanitarian, who represents the interest of the public at-large. Pizzini is the Monitoring and Reporting Section Supervisor for the Montana Department of Environmental Quality.

Other appointments Bullock announced Friday are:

Board of Physical Therapy Examiners

• Holly Claussen, Missoula. Qualification: Licensed Physical Therapist. Claussen is an Outpatient Physical Therapist for Peak Performance Physical Therapy.

Board of Regents of Higher Education

• Amy Sexton, Billings. Qualification: Student Regent. Sexton is an accounting and mathematics student at Montana State University Billings.

Small Business Compliance Assistance Advisory Council

• Diana Hammer, Helena. Qualification: Member who is not an owner or representative of an owner of small business stationary sources. Hammer is the owner of Regenerous Cities, the Founder of Biomimicry Collaborative and co-owner of Helena Apartments.

• Dr. Robin Saha, Missoula. Qualification: Member who is not an owner or representative of an owner of small business stationary sources. Dr. Saha is an Associate Professor of Environmental Studies at The University of Montana.

Advisory Council on Integrity in Wage Reporting and Employee Classification in the Construction Industry

• Doug Jackson, Missoula. Qualification: Representative from the construction contractor community. Jackson is the owner of Jackson Contractor Group.

• Mario Martinez, Great Falls. Qualification: Representative from organized labor. Martinez is the Financial Secretary for the Pacific Northwest Regional Council of Carpenters.

• Jack McBroom, Helena. Qualification: Representative from organized labor. McBroom is the Membership and Employer Development for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers 233.

• Deborah Poteet, Missoula. Qualification: Representative from the construction contractor community. Poteet is the owner of Poteet Construction.

• Kim Rickard-Smeltzer, Townsend. Qualification: Representative of Organized Labor. Rickard-Smeltzer is the Union Trustee for the Montana Laborers.

• Bob Warren, Columbia Falls. Qualification: Representative from the construction contractor community. Warren is the Manager of Asphalt Operations for Schellinger Construction.
