Letter to the Editor - Beaver Creek needs non-lethal beaver management

Beaver Creek Park is such a treasure in the region and has such great potential for bringing recreational tourism to Hill County. It’s big business, so it’s shameful that the park is managed by a board that allows activities in the park that diminish it’s natural features and threaten wildlife and habitat. Beaver trapping is just one example. Children, pets and any random animal can be maimed or killed in a trap, yet the potential for tragedy is ignored for the benefit of trappers in a public park.
