End Racism Through Unity event interrupted by rain

Runners participate in the End Racism Through Unity 5k run on Rocky Boy's Reservation Saturday. The event was sidetracked for several hours by heavy rain Saturday, but people joined together to support ending racism.

Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation held an End Racism Through Unity event on the evening of the Fourth of July but it was interrupted by a rainstorm that necessitated the cancelation of some aspects of the event.

The included a 5K run which was held without incident. But the pet parade had to be canceled.

However, the fireworks display was held later in the evening.

The stated goal of this event was to help improve race and community relations in the Hi-Line area, and it drew more than 50 attendees before weather caused many to leave, at least temporarily.
