Chris Mouat, all Frontier basketball coaches will hold a virtual clinic to raise money for Finnley Grace Foster
Hoops For a Cause organizer Chris Mouat, the longtime head women's basketball coach at Montana State University-Northern, is offering a free virtual coaches clinic for this year's event. Normally, a camp is conducted, but that's not possible during the coronavirus pandemic, so Mouat came up with the coaches clinic idea as a substitute in order to keep the event going.
COVID-19 has certainly thrown a wrench into the summer camp circuit for basketball, football and volleyball. And that included Montana State University-Northern head women's coach Chris Mouat's Hoops for a Cause Camp, which he started four years ago, and which has circulated around the state the last three summers, raising money and awareness for different good causes.
Now, Mouat has figured out a way to continue the tradition, though this one won't be held inside a gym.
