Hill County reports five new COVID-19 cases

Rocky Boy Health Center this evening confirmed five new cases of COVID-19.

No new cases were reported as confirmed by the health departments in Chouteau, Blaine or Liberty counties this afternoon.

Hill County Health Department also reported the cases reported by the Rocky Boy Health Center.

The cases reported by Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation are reported to the county where the person confirmed as a positive case resides, usually Hill or Chouteau counties, on which Rocky Boy exists..

Cases confirmed by the Rocky Boy Health Department may or may not be residents of the Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation.

Due to requirements of federal and state law, the departments may not list the residence of confirmed cases unless the issue of preserving public health outweighs the patient's right to privacy.

Hill County Health Department this afternoon reported in Hill County five new cases, apparently the same cases reported by the Rocky Boy Health Center.

Hill County Health Department reported the cases were of two boys in the 0-9 age group, identified through contact tracing, one woman in her 20s, identified through contact tracing, one manb his 50s, also identified through contact tracing, and one boy in his teens, with unknown exposure at this time, The investigation is ongoing, the Health Department report says.

"Currently, public health is busy with contact tracing and investigations to lessen the spread of COVID-19 in our area," the post says.

No new cases were reported by the health departments of Blaine, Chouteau or Liberty counties at this time.

With the new cases, which were not listed on the state update of its tracking map this afternoon, Hill County has 40 confirmed cases, 26 active and 14 recovered including a case confirmed in March. All other cases have been confirmed in July.

The state tracking map confirms seven cases in Blaine County, all active and all confirmed in July.

Chouteau County has two active and one inactive case, all confirmed in July.

Liberty County has one inactive case, confirmed in March.
