Obituary - Frances 'Frankie' Cowan

Frances "Frankie" Cowan, 85, passed away on July 31st of natural causes in Billings.

Cremation has taken place, and private family graveside services will be held.

Frankie was born in Havre November 11, 1934, to Esther and Herman Weyh. She attended school in Havre and graduated from Havre High in 1953. She married James Cowan September 15, 1956. She remained in Havre until she moved to Billings in 2018 to be closer to her daughter.

Frankie enjoyed bowling and was on a league at Hi-Line Lanes for several years. She also enjoyed meeting her sisters at Taco John's in the mall for coffee. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Her smile and compassion for others will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James; parents, Esther and Herman Weyh, and sisters Mary Dees and Marge Johnikin.

She is survived by her daughter, Cyndi (Brad) Pearce of Billings; grandchildren, Brooke (Anthony) Dreiling of Lawrence, KS, and Brandon Pearce of Billings; great-granddaughters Taylor and Camryn; sisters Dorothy Foster of Scottsdale, AZ, and Lori Ward of Havre; brother, Bill Weyh of Whitefish; sister-in-law Lois Schaller of Everett, WA; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family has suggested memorial donations be made in her honor to St. Jude's Catholic Church in Havre or to one's choice.

Holland & Bonine Funeral Home has been entrusted with services and arrangements.
