Montana Women Vote has issued a press release telling people that if they would like to register to vote from home, they can visit http://mtvr.org/mwv to get a pre-filled voter registration form mailed to them with a pre-addressed postage-paid envelope.

“Make sure ‘Get Your Ballot in the Mail’ is selected to make the voting process easier and safer for you,” the release said.

Other sponsors listed on the page are Forward Montana Foundation, MontPIRG and Western Native Voice.

The page is not associated with the Montana Secretary of State’s Office or any county election office.

A request for an absentee ballot that can be downloaded, completed and sent or taken to the local election office also can be found online at the Secretary of State’s Office at https://sosmt.gov/elections/absentee .

People can also contact their local election office to request an absentee ballot, in Hill County by calling 400-2321, stopping at the office in the Hill County Courthouse at 315 Fourth Street or by emailing Hill County Deputy Election Administrator Kaci Hipple at [email protected]
